Cadastral office has been established by the Act Nr. 359I1992 Coll., on Surveying, Mapping and Cadastral Bodies, in later wording, as other administration office for surveying and cadaster of real estate of the Czech Republic; it is a financial unit directed by the director who is appointed by the president of the Czech office for surveying, mapping and cadaster. Cadastral office performs following activities
  1. performs state administration of the cadaster of real estate of the Czech Republic,
  2. administrates densification points and minor geodetic control fields,
  3. debates breaching of rules in the branch of cadaster of real estate of the Czech Republic based on a special law,
  4. approves changes of local names and carries out the activities connected with standardization of the geographical names,
  5. approves the changes of boundaries of cadastral units,
  6. administrates the basic map series given by the Czech office for surveying, mapping and cadaster,
  7. fulfills further tasks in the branch of land surveying and cadaster of real estate of the Czech Republic based on the assignment of the Czech office for surveying, mapping and cadaster.
Cadastral branch office is an internal unit of the cadastral office. Cadastral branch office performs its activity within the scope of cadastral office in the territorial area which is published in the Collection of laws of the Czech Republic in the form of notification of the Czech office for surveying, mapping and cadaster.
