Information System of the Cadastre of Real Estate
According to Act No. 365/2000 Coll., on information systems of public administration, as amended, the information system of the real estate cadastre (ISKN) is part of the public administration information systems (ISVS) for administration and management of the real estate cadastre.
ISKN was established as a significant information system by Decree No. 317/2014 Coll., on significant information systems and their determining criteria.
The information system of the real estate cadastre is a central information system for supporting the performance of the state administration of the real estate cadastre (KN) and for providing user services of the real estate cadastre. ISKN contains tools for administration of the files of descriptive and geodetic information, for supporting administrative activities within real estate cadastre management and for administration of documentation funds. ISKN is one of the most extensive and complex systems of the state administration regarding the data amount.
ISKN fully ensures the management of both legal relations to real estate and technical data on real estate. ISKN integrates descriptive and geodetic information files with documentation funds stored both in and outside the system. Data on owners and other authorized persons, the so-called authorized entities of the real estate cadastre, are compared and taken over via the information system of basic registers (ISZR), as well as data on legal entities. Outputs from the real estate cadastre show not only the time of its creation, but also the time of validity of the data. ISKN enables to display the status of the real estate cadastre at a given moment in history (since 08/2001).
